Question:
Can a political process be used to enhance the health of a population of American citizens living in Alabama?

Alabama State Legislative Task Force on Health Care for Alabama Citizens


GOALS & CHARGE

1. To develop implementable actions to:

a. Decrease the cost of health care for Alabama citizens and businesses
b. Increase access to health care for Alabama citizens
c. Improve the quality of health care for Alabama citizens
d. Enhance the educational programs for health care providers in order to better meet the needs of the citizens of Alabama
e. Increase the health status of Alabama citizens
f. To find savings of 1 billion dollars in the next 2 years

2. To identify:

a. Specific obstacles that could impede the implementation these actions
b. Obstacles that could be solved by action of the Alabama State Legislature

3. To measure the impact on health care access and costs through the implementation of these actions
